Big stompy things

Almost a month since my last post.. crazy how time fly's'.  Last weekend at the South Auckland Club we had a huge game of Lord of the Rings. Thanks to the guys having supplying the armies. We ended up with 3 plyers each side.

Glen, Steven and Jason playing the good side and Bryan, Kaven and myself on the evil side.

Since i dont have any models for this game I got to use Glens finely crafted beast of trampling with a horde of Orc's. (Rhino type things which I cant recall what they were called)  Squashed Dwarfs everywhere, as I rolled really really well) It was alot of fun even if I did get wiped out to right down to the last orc. A really fun game, which I defiantly don't need to get into as I have way to many games already.  (Never say Never ) The good side prevailed in a blood bath of mayhem. Great day of gaming.

South Auckland Club Day

So for the third month in a row the club rolled out several games of Legion and a few Saga games got played as well. Cant recall the last time we spent this much time on one game.

Glen had invested in some very cool MDF terrain which looks awesome thanks to his paint job. IT will work for quite a few games.

I had to make a little bit of adjustment to the layout of the table so that in Kevin and my game we had room to move our large vechiles.

A few shots of the other games in progress.

I only snapped a few, as i was too busy getting the crap beaten out of me.
But I did play a new faction with not one but two AT-ST walkers ... alot of fun.

Some of the guys got into a few games of Saga, which I think was there was more talking about the rules than actual playing ... I'm sure a few games got finished ...I think ... maybe..

Looking forward to some more Legion next month.

How time disappears when your having fun.

Well the last four weeks just disappeared is a blaze of fabulous weather so alot of outside work got done, but I've still managed to complete another box of Zulu warriors and have now started on my third and final box along with starting on my next AT-ST for Legion.

With the long Easter weekend I've made good progress painting the final boundary fence and also more Zulu's warriors along with building the second AT-ST.

The acquiring my two extra AT-ST's was a saga indeed, with Milsims (where I bought them from online) sending it to the wrong address. How the hell they sent it to #3 instead of #22 I'll never know. Took me pretty much 3 weeks of harassing them to get the info. And thankfully the people in #3 still had the package and had been trying to work out where it was meant to go. End result is I have my AT-ST's and I'll never buy from Milsims again.

I completely forgot about the photos from last club day, which we had a bunch of Star Wars legions games going on.

Kevin has been spending up large on this impressive platform.

Roger, Roger

Yesterday (Saturday) bought about the South Auckland Gaming club day for February. Star Wars Legion was the game of the day for me. With a few people away and sick it was a quite day with only three tables going.

Two tables to Star Wars Legion and one of Saga.

My late nigh list build was a complete failure, as I build a list to use my  newly painted BX droids and I stacked them all up with upgrade cards. Definitely not a good way to play Droids, so the first game against Glen, I got pretty much wiped from the table. Didn't help I did zero prep on the rules. Still always good to roll dice and push models around.

Second game I played Kaven and his Droids, which I reverted my list back to my very first list with the AAT federation tank. That was alot more fun and much closer, but I conceded in turn five as it was unlikely win and at the days end.  Getting the rules down a bit more with about 6 or 7 under my belt.

A few pics from the games as we played.

A mixed bag.

It's been awhile, which is the way things are these days, to much to do and not enough time. Yesterday was my monthly pilgrimage out tot he  South Auckland Gaming club. Mark and I have been playing a lot of BattleTech of late so blasted out a couple of games with all our new terain we have been printing and designing.

The other guys were play a mix of Lord of the Rings and Congo and 15 mm Hail Cesar. So a real mix of bag of games which is great to see.

A three way game of Congo looking awesome with Steven's 3D printed huts

Ian and Saul getting into 15mm Hail Cesar game

The rest of the gang getting stuck into LOTR games.

While Mark and myself and a new comer (Matt I think it was) joined in on the Battletech. Mark using his newly resin printed Marik force up against my Nova Cat's.

Mark's King Crab off the resin printer looking awesome, the detail he's getting out of the resin is awesome... a little bit envious

The Nova Cat's light force list came out on top int he first game of capture the flag, and then I changed up to my heavy force in the second game a lost that just. Fun times.

The terrain making/printing project has grown from a simple plan of wanting a full 8x4 table for Battletech of buildings and cityscape. To include a raised monorail I've designed and printed and now a raised motorway system with led lighting which is still in the design and prototype phase. here's a few of the concept ideas from a few back.

Noe off to see Alita: Battle Angel on the big IMAX screen tonight, so hoping to get some good ideas for more buildings and city stuff, along with enjoying what looks like a good movie from the trailers.

Fabic printing

After some hit and missing printing onto the t-shirts I did some more research and ended up getting myself some Essdee fabric inks along w...
